PRICE-CUT AND CONSUMER BEHAVIOR A Qualitative Study of

Buying Power in the Indonesian Market

Abstract

The growing phenomena of price-cut refect a reality that Indonesian consumers are very sensitive toward price (price-sensitive). On the contrary, there may have been pessimism that the pricing policy could potentially damage product quality as well as minimizing the beneft of core product in various consumer-oriented perspectives. This study intends to describe the phenomena of price-cut to explain arguments that the low level of buying power within the context of market in Indonesia could be questioning. The study uses focus group discussion among students at PTS “X” in Surabaya.

THE INFLUENCE OF TOP MANAGEMENT TEAM COMPOSITION ON

COMPANY PERFORMANCE

The Case of Indonesian Mining Companies

Abstract
 
Top management team composition is a big issue in international business and management research. In Indonesian context, especially for mining companies, the issue has only limited academic resource. Since most studies in this area conducted in the United States and Europe, the studies are refecting the culture of the underlying US and Europe population. This research using a sample from 18 Indonesian Mining Companies with 174 top executives from those companies. This study utilizes a deductive method of research as a methodological approach. Each hypothesis analyzes the infuence of the composition of the Top Management Team (Independent Variable) on company performance (Dependent Variable), with the relationship made by creating a direct hypothesis of Top Management Team with the value of the return of assets (ROA) and return of equity (ROE) of each company

Abstract
 
This study aims to examine the implementation of ISO 9001 in order to improve the sales operation performance of a management training and consultancy company. More specifcally, this research is to identify the performance indicators of the company sales operation, ISO 9001based sales operation management systems, and the comparison of the sales operation performance before and after the implementation of the model. This study is an action research using descriptive case study. The research results show the sales operation  performance indicators and ISO 9001based sales operation management system model. In addition, the fnding of this study indicates that the use of ISO 9001 can improve the performance indicators of sales operation, such as response speed, the number of prospective customers, customer retention and the number of new customers.

Abstract
 
This study aims to examine the implementation of ISO 9001 in order to improve the sales operation performance of a management training and consultancy company. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship and the infuence of emotional, intellectual and spiritual quotient with the entrepreneur’s performance on the entrepreneurs in Yogyakarta. Pearson Product Moment Correlation and multiple regression analysis used to test the hypothesis in this study. Pearson Product Moment Correlation is used to test the relationship, F test was used to test the efect of independent variables on the entrepreneur’s performance and t-test was used to test the efect partially. The results of this study indicate that the entrepreneur’s performance was signifcantly related and infuenced by emotional, intellectual and spiritual quotient simultaneously. The efect only partially occurs in emotional and intellectual quotient, while the spiritual quotient has no signifcant efect on the entrepreneur’s performance. In fact, the intellectual quotient has the most dominant infuence on the entrepreneur’s performance.

PERWAJAHAN & FORMAT

  1. Konsistensi ukuran berkala selalu dijaga ketat. Konsistensi tata letak (lay out) – yang mencakup pengaturan bentuk dan ukuran huruf untuk pelbagai keperluan, penataan jarak dan ruang, peletakan baris judul dan alinea, sistem penempatan ilustrasi dan lain-lain, dituntut agar dipertahankan karena menentukan perwajahan halaman sehingga akan ikut mencirikan gaya selingkung berkala.
  2. Konsistensi tipografi (meliputi macam, bentuk dan ukuran muka huruf, spasi di antara baris, penggunaan huruf kapital atau huruf kursif) untuk setiap penerbitan no¬mor berkala mutlak harus dijaga.
  3. Jenis kertas (macam, warna, dan ketebalan, yang ditentukan berdasarkan bobot selembar kertas per 1 m2, kandungan bahan) yang dipakai dalam setiap kali berkala terbit dipastikan seragam.
  4. Jumlah halaman dalam setiap jilid dituntut untuk konsisten. Disarankan agar tebal satu jilid atau volume – yang tidak harus terikat tahun terbit  minimum 200 halaman (sehingga berpenanda atau bernomor halaman 1 – 200).
  5. Tekstur sampul (bahan atau macam kertas, keadaan permukaan, kekuatan dan keopakan, serta corak) berkala hendaklah memiliki kemantapan yang dapat dikenali. Dengan perkataan lain, sampul dapat berganti warna atau gambar, namun nama berkala, logo, dan penataan umum harus tetap dan konsisten.
  6. Penampilan umum berkala hendaklah diupayakan memiliki rancangan menonjol (eye catching) yang berpenciri dengan keunikan khas, sehingga jika disimpan dalam sebuah meja pajangan bersama kumpulan berkala lain akan dapat segera terkenali dari jauh.
  7. UNESCO merekomendasikan agar secara bertaat asas berkala diterbitkan dengan kertas berukuran A4, 210 x 297 mm.
